M&E’s Mechanical Engineering services include, design, reporting and evaluating building
services, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, storm and sanitary systems, energy audits and management, renovations, plumbing and drainage, make-up air unit upgrades, domestic water boiler and piping replacement, boiler and chiller plants.

Electrical

M&E’s Electrical Engineering services include design, reporting and evaluating emergency
generator upgrades, high voltage and low voltage power distribution, lighting, energy audits, fire alarm protection, CCTV camera and telecommunication systems.

Energy/LEEDS

Since 1990, M&E has completed Energy Audits for many high rise condominiums and
commercial buildings throughout Ontario. We have worked with Toronto Hydro (GEPP),
Enbridge Gas and NRCAN on many projects. With these partners, we conducted Energy
Audits to demonstrate ways of saving energy. M&E’s Audits include analysis of the building’s Mechanical & Electrical systems, as they relate to hydro, gas and water usage. Energy bill analysis is completed to establish a base usage and history while recommending energy reduction measures with paybacks. The audits include items such as lighting retrofits, water conservation, electric to gas heating, installation of variable frequency drives on pumps and fan motors, installation of efficient chillers and boilers, installation sensors to control indoor air quality and lighting and building automation systems. We believe that the knowledge gained by completing Energy Audits allows M&E to approach projects with an “open mind” to what a construction budget can manage and what energy conservation measure could be done with the savings justifying the expense.

Building Science

Driving from our experience and expertise of Design and Energy we apply this to our reviews of buildings for building condition assessments, pre-purchase investigation, capital planning and Condominium reserve fund studies. For the past 15 years M&E has completed hundreds of building reviews each year M&E completes over 100 building reviews per year, which allow us to give insight to buildings draws our are experience and expertise in Mechanical & Electrical systems.

Project Management

M&E’s ability to provide a continuum of in-house services including project management and
contract administration services, offers clients the savings and efficiencies from a great team of experts. Project Management from the start of the project through to the final commissioning ensures a comprehensive and cost savings approach.
